John P. Walsh, a resident of Sag Harbor for 36 years, died at his home on March 15. He was 88.
Born April 23, 1919 in New York City to Anna (née Brady) and Harold F. Walsh, he attended Jamaica High School in Queens. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he went to work as a salesman.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife, Eleanor G. (née Blake) Walsh of Sag Harbor, a sister, Doris Bullis of Medford; and eight nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Harold, Robert, Edward and William Walsh; and a sister, Marion Walsh, all predeceased him.
Funeral services were held on March 19 at Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery.
