Senator Hillary Clinton’s representation of New Yorkers in the U.S. Senate since she started campaigning for the presidency has been almost zero, and that time frame is entering its second year.?Senior Senator Chuck Schumer’s attention has been focused on the direction of the Democrat Party’s national efforts. We occasionally see him during a televised photo-opportunity, critical of the Bush administration but offering little in the way of solving problems involving local and New York State concerns.?Now we have Spitzergate, which leaves our state government in more disarray than ever, if that’s possible. ?As New Yorkers, we should be outraged and speak out against the self-interest and hypocrisy of these elected representatives.?New York was once a great and vibrant state but now, sorry to say, has become the laughingstock of not only our nation but the world. A very sad commentary.?
