Samuel Alanson Meddaugh, a 56-year resident of East Hampton, died at his home on March 12. He was 99.?Born March 25, 1908, in Washington, D.C., to Marion and Samuel Addison Meddaugh, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.?Mr. Meddaugh was a teacher and a principal at East Hampton High School.?Mr. Meddaugh is survived by his wife, Winifred (née Wilkinson) Meddaugh; a son, Samuel Alan Meddaugh of Minnesota; two daughters, Joan Jackson of California, and Gail Slocum of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.?He was predeceased by a brother, Stuart Meddaugh.?A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at East Hampton High School.?In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice, P.O.
