Nominations for the New York 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year awards are being accepted through April 30.?Teachers, students and parents can nominate any of the state’s accredited teachers by explaining, in 250 words or less, why their nominee should be Teacher of the Year. ?Nominees will be judged on their ability to motivate students, on their special talents and their contribution to their school, students or educational community. The winning teacher will receive a $1,000 cash reward and a $500 grant to his or her school.
