Joseph William Phillips of East Quogue died at Southampton Hospital on Friday, March 28, after a long illness. He was 54.
“Joe B.” as he was known, was born to Jack and Mary Testani Phillips on November 24, 1953. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a life member of the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Phillips is survived by two sons, Joseph Phillips and Jesse Campo Phillips of Shirley; three brothers, Jack and his wife Renee of Arkport, New York, Bruce and his wife Isabelle of East Quogue, and Burr and his wife Patti of New Hampshire; two sisters, Susan and her husband Neal of Maryland, and Mary and her husband Todd of Mapleton, New York; eight nieces; and one nephew.
Funeral arrangements were held under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Interment was on March 31 at Oakwood Cemetery in East Quogue.
