The Student Program Board at Stony Brook Southampton will present Walt Freese, chief executive of operations of the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company, who will share his insights through a presentation, “How to Lead With Your Values and Make Money, Too—The Story Behind Ben & Jerry’s,” on Friday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the special events room of the Student Center.
Mr. Freese, who joined the company based in South Burlington, Vermont, as chief marketing officer in 2001 manages Ben & Jerry’s marketing, retail operations and human resources.
When Ben & Jerry’s was acquired by Unilever in 2001, the company continued its commitment to its social mission by upholding environmental sustainability and corporate philanthropy.
