Lee Rowe Kohler of East Quogue died at his home on Saturday, April 12. He was 61.
A retired driver for the Southampton Town Highway Department, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War who achieved the rank of corporal and received two Purple Hearts. He was a life member and former captain of the East Quogue Fire Department, and a member of the Quogue VFW.
Mr. Kohler is survived by his wife, Donna (née Merritt); two sons, Michael L. and David R. Kohler; and a daughter, Dawn M. Kohler, all of East Quogue; three grandchildren, Nicholas M., Justin T., and Brittney M. Kohler; and a brother, Ren “Mickey” Kohler of East Quogue.
Military and firematic services conducted by the Quogue VFW and the East Quogue Fire Department were held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on April 15. Reverend Larry Dunlap of the East Quogue United Methodist Church conducted funeral services at the funeral home on April 16; interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in East Quogue.
