Wow! I never imagined that I’d start acting at my age. Thank you, Eric Jacobson, for teaching me to believe in myself and in my ability to be funny on stage. The process of working closely with teenagers during rehearsals for the eighth annual 2105 Fony Awards show has made me forget that I’m old enough to be their grandmother.
The Jacobson Center for the Performing Arts saved me from what surely would have been a long, cold, dreary winter. I hope that the Hamptons community supports this show and the amazing efforts of all the volunteers at the Jacobson Center who have given our community a much-needed professional training center for musical theater, where even a senior like me is welcome.
And that old saying is wrong. You can teach an old broad new tricks.
