Jose G. Canel, 27, of Flanders was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Saturday at 4:40 a.m., at the corner of Evergreen and Flanders roads in Flanders, and charged with DWI and false personation, both misdemeanors, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Mr. Canel was originally stopped for a traffic violation.

Roger J. Snide, of East Moriches was arrested by State Police on April 9 and charged with DWI. Police stopped Mr. Snide for a traffic violation. No additional information was available.

Patricia A. Puma, 50, of Centereach was arrested by State Police last Thursday, April 10, and charged with DWI. Police stopped Ms. Puma for a traffic violation.

Marvin Arrieta-Urena, 25, of Hampton Bays was arrested by State Police on Sunday and charged with DWI. Police stopped Mr. Arrieta-Urena for a traffic violation.

Juan C. Mejias, 26, of Southampton was arrested by Town Police on Friday at 11:17 p.m. on County Road 39 in Southampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony. Mr. Mejias was involved in a two-car accident, police said. There were no injuries.

Ernest Joshua Cuffee, 49, of Southampton was arrested by Town Police last Thursday, April 10, at 2:30 a.m. on the corner of St. Andrews Road and County Road 39 in Southampton and charged with DWI. Mr. Cuffee was originally stopped for failing to maintain his lane.

John A. Malinowski, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Town Police at 10:24 p.m. on Sunday, at the corner of Montauk Highway and Squiretown Road in Hampton Bays, and charged with DWI. Mr. Malinowski backed his car into another vehicle, according to police.

Jonathan R. Foster, 27, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Town Police on Saturday at 12:08 a.m. on the corner of Whites Lane and North Magee Street in Southampton and charged with DWI and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors. Mr. Foster was stopped in his car in the middle of the road when police found him. He also had cocaine on the center console, police said. The passenger in the car, Ian J. Tenreiro, 22, of Southampton was also arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Mr. Tenreiro had cocaine as well, police said.

John A. Hughes, 28, of Riverhead was arrested by Town Police at 7:50 p.m. on April 3, at the corner of County Road 51 and Lake Avenue in Northampton, and charged with DWI. Mr. Hughes struck a utility pole and when police responded to the scene, they saw that he had several empty bottles of beer in his vehicle. Mr. Hughes was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where he was treated for undisclosed injuries.
