Frances D. Trabona died on April 13 at her East Hampton home. She was 89.
Born in Brooklyn to Carmella (née Lauricella) and Francesco Dell’Isola, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College and her master’s from Columbia University. A retired art teacher, she was a member of the League of Women Voters and the Taproot Writers Workshop.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Trabona of Sag Harbor; two daughters, Nina Trabona of East Hampton and Laura Oliverio of Rochester; a sister, Marie Farcillo of Maryland; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or to American Diabetes Association Research Foundation, Attn: Individual Giving Department, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 would be appreciated by the family.
