Corcoran Cares hosts event


Corcoran Cares, the non-profit organization created by Corcoran Group Real Estate to support dozens of charitable and philanthropic organizations, recently held a charity event to kick off its annual fund-raising campaign.

The event was held at a home on North Main Street in Southampton Village, which is currently for sale and listed with Roger Blaugh of Corcoran’s Southampton office. Sponsors, agents and employees donated $4,500 at the event. Corcoran will match 25 percent of each dollar raised.

In addition, the company had 32 agents and employees enroll to make regular payroll and commission check donation deductions during the 2008/2009 fiscal year.

In 2007/2008, Corcoran Cares raised more than $35,000 for six local charities—The Retreat, East End Hospice, Have A Heart Community Trust, Peconic Bay Keeper, The Southampton Hospital Foundation and ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation).

The event sponsors were 75 Main Street Cafe, Barney Sloan, Corcoran, Dan’s Papers, Gina Decker, John Halsted, Rick Hoffman, Image Maker 360°, Indian Cove Restaurant, Jan Jaeger, Kevin Maple Salon, Tom Mangel, Montauk Yacht Club, Gary Nolan, Jennifer Russo, Southampton Press/East Hampton Press, Star Boggs Restaurant, Sally Van Erk and Xpressdocs.
