Our Lady of the Hamptons

The Fine Arts Department will present an “Evening with the Hamptones” on Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 at the school. The 40-voice elite chorus will offer a special program of sacred and secular music for their families and friends. There is no cost to the community.

Third-grader Margaret Terry, of Southampton, received honorable mention in her grade division of the Brookhaven Laboratory Science Fair. Her research was on a comparison of bird feeders and bird habitats.

Twelve members of the Class of 2008 who demonstrated the required scholarship, service, citizenship 
and character, were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society-Maria Regina Chapter. Moderator Sister 
Virginia Crowley presented the new inductees: Catherine Andes, Anna Crowley, John Donovan, Katie Dubowski, Mairead Glynn, Julieanne Healy, Alexa Klink, Kathryn Lechleider, Alexandra Perry, Matthew Romano, 
Walter Squires and Melissa Wilson.

Second-grade students received their First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Poland, St. Rosalie’s and Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary churches during the May 3-4 weekend. The class will celebrate at a schoolwide liturgy on Friday, May 9, followed by a special brunch.
