Bridgehampton School

Members of the junior class went to William Floyd High School on Sunday to volunteer at this year’s Special Olympics. They were accompanied by their class advisors, Ken Giosi and Mary Johnsen. The Special Olympics was an all-day event. The juniors assisted students from the BOCES Westhampton Beach Learning Center in track and field events. Each Bridgehampton student was assigned to an individual athlete to assist them throughout the day. They provided encouragement and support as the games began. The students plan to volunteer again next spring when the Special Olympics are held in East Hampton.

On May 7, parents of upcoming middle school students attended an orientation presented by the guidance department to familiarize them with the seventh-grade curriculum and the transition of students from sixth grade into the high school environment.

On Friday, May 16, students in grades seven through 12 will participate in a PTO-sponsored talent show at 7 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

The spring concert, featuring students from prekindergarten through high school, will be held in the gymnasium on May 22 at 7 p.m.
