Members of the junior class went to William Floyd High School on Sunday to volunteer at this year’s Special Olympics. They were accompanied by their class advisors, Ken Giosi and Mary Johnsen. The Special Olympics was an all-day event. The juniors assisted students from the BOCES Westhampton Beach Learning Center in track and field events. Each Bridgehampton student was assigned to an individual athlete to assist them throughout the day. They provided encouragement and support as the games began. The students plan to volunteer again next spring when the Special Olympics are held in East Hampton.
