A recent Drudge Report contained a link to an ABC News story that stated that each of the CEOs from GM, Ford and Chrysler flew in their respective company’s corporate jets to ask for public assistance in the form of a bailout. GM’S CEO, Rick Wagoner, arrived in a $36-million G4 at a cost to his company of roughly $20,000 round trip. A round-trip first-class ticket on Northwest could have been had for $837.
Meanwhile, the report stated that Ford maintains a fleet of eight corporate jets for the use of its executives. The article continued with, “GM and Ford say that it is a corporate decision to have their CEOs fly on private jets and that is non-negotiable, even as the companies say they are running out of cash.”
Bailout? These people just don’t get it!
