School was in session only two days last week, due to the Thanksgiving holiday break.
On Tuesday, November 25, the students hosted a “dessert social” for their grandparents and family friends. Some parents bought yummy homemade desserts, such as pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream, flan, cookies and scones. Afterward, everyone participated in a Thanksgiving quiz on the SMARTBoard.
The children are now working with music teacher Margaret Bodkin to learn holiday songs for their winter concert. The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, at 7 p.m.
Winter activities are starting this week at the East Hampton YMCA. The children will be swimming on Fridays as part of their gym class for the month of December.
The next board meeting will be on Thursday, December 4, at 7 p.m.
