Too busy wrapping presents and playing Santa to cook and then clean up on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Fortunately for those who would rather eat, drink and make merry away from home, area restaurateurs are offering some options here on the East End that just might fit the bill.

Southampton

Barrister’s, 36 Main Street, will be open for dinner and cocktails on Christmas Eve until 9 p.m. Specials will be added and the regular menu will also be available. Southampton Publick House, 40 Bowden Square, will offer a $29.95 (plus tax and gratuity) prix fixe Christmas Eve dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The regular menu will also be available. Diners are invited to pair award-winning craft beers with Southampton’s finest steaks and chops. The restaurant will be closed on Christmas Day. All major credit cards accepted. Bridgehampton

Pierre’s, 2468 Main Street, will be open throughout the holiday season and will serve a $45 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day prix fixe dinner. Noyac

Cappelletti Italian Restaurant, 3284 Noyac Road, will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will serve a $20 prix fixe in addition to the regular menu. Sag Harbor

East Hampton

Bamboo, 47 Montauk Highway, will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day serving traditional Japanese cuisine as well as some chef’s specials for the holiday. The Lodge Bar and Grill, 31 Race Lane, will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will offer a festive atmosphere for diners to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres by a huge fireplace. Jumbo lobster, chateaubriand and leg of lamb will be some of the special holiday offerings. A $25 two-course prix fixe will be served on Christmas Eve. Montauk

Gurney’s Inn, 290 Old Montauk Highway, will serve a traditional Christmas dinner from 1 to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day. Choose from a list of appetizers, entrées and desserts. Entrées include prime rib, Canadian goose, herb roasted tom turkey, grilled baby lamb chops, lobster, shrimp and scallops and yellowfin tuna. After dinner, enjoy an award-winning dessert table.
