After high school graduation in Dobbs Ferry, Mr. Dupree attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. After returning to the United States, he completed his education at Manhattan College, earning a degree in accounting.

He spent summers in Hampton Bays as a child, and in 1979, moved his own family from Rockland County to Hampton Bays so his children could enjoy many of the same things he did growing up.

A wake and visitation were held at the R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on December 13 and 14. A funeral service conducted by Monsignor Edmund Trench was held at St. Rosalie’s Roman Catholic Church in Hampton Bays on December 15; interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
