It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, and I decided to go down to Coopers Beach to watch the annual Polar Bear Plunge. It was windy at the beach, but the sense of excitement and camaraderie was high. I watched as some of the plungers paraded around in their costumes—and some of them were very original indeed. I was glad that I was wrapped up warmly and had decided not to take the plunge.
Once again, Mary Ann Tupper did a wonderful job, and for a wonderful cause—Human Resources of the Hamptons. Local businesses, such as the Village Cheese Shop, The Golden Pear, Starbucks and 7-Eleven, were there to provide everyone with hot soup, coffee and other goodies.
Again, hats off to Mary Ann Tupper, who did a great job, and to the plungers, for helping to raise money.
