In response to President-elect Barack Obama’s request for citizen input on how to fix the health care system, Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton will host a Health Care Community Discussion at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, in the Maria Cooper Room of the library’s Cooper Hall. The community is encouraged to attend.
Having made health care reform a top priority, President-elect Obama is asking Americans to expose the key issues regarding U.S. health policies and bring about solutions to promote quality and affordable health care for all. Designed to involve American citizens in their own government, this local discussion is one of many hosted by the Transition Health Policy Team, which are being held across the country over the holiday season.
Dr. Elaine Fox will be the discussion moderator. She will provide participants with an official form to record their feedback, which in turn will be presented to the Transition Team to help them put together their final recommendations for the new administration.
