Salvador Vacca, a resident of Sag Harbor for 55 years, died on December 10 at his home. He was 92.
Born November 29, 1916, in Schenectady, he attended Pierson and Bridgehampton schools prior to serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Vacca worked as a Met Life insurance agent and was a member of the Sag Harbor Fire Department and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by a son, Robert Vacca of Sag Harbor; a daughter, Rosemary Ward of South Carolina; a sister, Norma Esposito of Connecticut; two granddaughters, Amanda Ward and Alisa Whittaker; a great-granddaughter, Tiffany Whittaker; a great-grandson, Brandan Whittaker; two nieces, Toni Rutherfard and Barbara Holmes; and a nephew, Michael Vacca.
Funeral services were held on December 12 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor; interment followed in the church cemetery.
