Quogue property owners will be able to dispute their tax assessments during tax grievance day, scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, from 1 until 5 p.m., at Village Hall.
Property owners who disagree with their tax assessments must file a grievance with the village on that day. Land owners must file grievances with the village even if they have already challenged their assessment with Southampton Town.
Prior to February 17, property owners are encouraged to review the values of neighboring properties to determine if they been assessed too high. The 2008 Quogue Village Tax Roll is now available for inspection at Village Hall and on the municipality’s website, villageofquogue.com.
The assessments will ultimately be used to compute the annual property tax bills that will be mailed to village residents prior to this June.
Application forms and information on how to file a grievance are available at Village Hall on Jessup Avenue in Quogue. For more information, call 653-4498.
