Patrick B. McCann, a resident of Sag Harbor for 13 years, died on January 23 at his home. He was 84.
Born May 8, 1924, in New York City to Ellen (née Clarke) and Patrick McCann, he graduated from Bishop McLoughlin High School. After serving in the U.S. Navy from December 1942 to February 1945, he went on to attend Columbia University.
He worked for the City of New York as an elevator inspector, and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by a daughter, Deidre McCann of Sag Harbor; three sons, Liam McCann of East Hampton, Michael McCann of Sag Harbor and Patrick J. McCann of Paris, France; and three grandchildren.
His wife, Mary Ellen (née Ford) McCann, predeceased him.
No services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978 would be appreciated by the family.
