Renowned author and Korean War veteran James Brady, who chronicled life in the Hamptons in two of his novels, “Further Lane” and “Gin Lane,” died at his Manhattan home on Monday, January 26. Also a resident of East Hampton, he was 80.
Mr. Brady’s 1990 book, “The Coldest War: A Memoir of Korea,” was a Pulitzer finalist.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; two daughters, Fiona Brady and Susan Konig; four grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, Nicholas and Matthew, and one brother, Msgr. Tom Brady.
