Hampton Dental Group

Trades Cash For Candy

This Halloween, Dr. Gary Manowitz and Dr. Brian Park of Hampton Dental Group PC in Southampton are leading an anti-decay movement by giving away dollars and tooth brushes in exchange for cavity-provoking candy. Trick-or-treaters may bring their excess candy in and exchange it for cash, $1 per pound, the day after Halloween from 1 to 5 p.m. The candy must be unopened with no bites and will be shipped to troops overseas as part of Operation Gratitude.

According to Dr. Monowitz and Dr. Park, doing away with excess sweets altogether gives teeth a healthy boost.

Kids can still have all of the fun of trick-or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well, the doctors said in a press release.

Hampton Dental Group is located at 325 Meeting House Lane, Building 2, in Southampton. For information call 283-0352.
