Ella N. ‘Nancy’ Collins

Former East Hampton resident Ella N. “Nancy” Collins (née Carter) died on March 20 at The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 91.

Ms. Collins, daughter of William and Helen (née Renaud) Carter grew up in Newark, New Jersey, before moving to East Hampton. She lived there with her husband Irad S. Collins, who predeceased her, for 65 years.

Ms. Collins, a retired nurse, worked for many years at Southampton Hospital and the Southampton Nursing Home and is survived by one daughter, Nancy Cunningham of East Hampton; three grandchildren, Amy Cunningham of North Carolina, Brian Cunningham of East Hampton and Carolyn Cunningham of Warwick; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held at the Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton on Sunday.
