Southampton High School
A mixed choir of Men of Southampton (MOSH) and Voices of Southampton (VOSH) performed for adjudication as participants in Festival Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on Friday, April 12. The performance earned the group an “Excellent” rating at a special ceremony held in Hollywood Studios on April 13.

Seniors Karla Valdespino and Jhon Sebastian Puerto Arenas were selected as delegates to attend the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute in Albany from March 23 to 25, during which they participated in two days of training, a meeting with Fred Thiele, and took part in a mock Assembly session conducted in the New York State Assembly Chamber.
Southampton Intermediate
Eighth graders Timothy Alejo and Margarita Trujillo have received the Physical Education Leadership Award given by the Suffolk Zone of New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance for outstanding leadership and excellence in physical education. Timmy and Margarita were chosen for performing well in the areas of fitness, citizenship, and leadership and are also active in many middle school sports as well as sports outside of school. They will be recognized at an awards ceremony at Longwood High School on Wednesday, May 1, along with all of the other Suffolk Zone winners.

The Mock Trial teams traveled with advisor Ken Sisco to Dowling College to compete with teams from across Suffolk County on Friday, April 5. Each team was able to plead their cases, presented before actual judges who volunteer their time for the competition. Southampton walked away with a win. The team includes Jeremy Sisco, Dylan O’Connor, Hope Brindle, Lauren Heaney, Hallie Della-Volpe, Alec Giufurta, Coco Ramgopal, Magdalena Schneiderman, Julia Kepczynska, and Olivia Bruyn.
