The grant will help with rebuilding efforts at the Wantagh facility, where animals were evacuated to from its other adoption facilities. The Wiederhold Foundation grant will enable the organization to purchase a new generator and allow Bideawee to maintain the evacuation center in Wantagh.

“We are eternally grateful to The Wiederhold Foundation for their grant. It will help Bideawee replace the generator and ensure that Bideawee’s Campus for Pets and People in Wantagh can serve as a safe haven for animals in need in the event of a disaster,” stated Bideawee President and Chief Executive Officer Nancy Taylor.
