Monday Roundup For ESM, Hampton Bays, Westhampton Beach

The Westhampton Beach boys lacrosse team finished off its regular season with a 12-4 victory at Kings Park on Monday. Casey Hickey scored six goals and assisted on another to lead the Hurricanes, who led 6-1 at halftime. Zach Rignola and Brian Corrigan each scored two goals. Corrigan also made 11 saves in goal.
ESM Boys Lacrosse
The Sharks won their season finale on Monday, 13-5, at Harborfields. Matt Prokesch scored five goals, while Matt Ragimierski scored a goal and had three assists. Tyler Weiss scored two goals, while Will Henderson, Patrick Minogue and Jake Zaino all combined for 13 saves in goal.
Hampton Bays Girls Lacrosse
A 14-1 first half by Huntington led to an 18-2 victory over the Lady Baymen on Monday. Alex Maitland-Ward and Macalia Grismer scored the two goals for Hampton Bays.
ESM Softball
With the score tied 2-2 in the top of the ninth inning at Bellport on Monday, Jackie Chester drove in Nina Gaita with the go-ahead run. Hope Brenkert added two-run home run to make the score 5-2 in favor of the Lady Sharks. Brenkert finished the game 3 for 5 with two runs scored, and Marissa Rizzi picked up the victory, pitching a complete game.
Hampton Bays Softball
The Lady Baymen lost 11-1 at home to Shoreham/Wading River on Monday. Karlie Troyan’s home run was the only run Hampton Bays could scrounge up against Shoreham starting pitcher Chelsea Hawks, who allowed five hits while walking one and striking out nine.
