Police Seek Info About Jeep In Connection With Springs Burglary

East Hampton Town Police are asking for information about a red Jeep that was captured in a surveillance photo in connection with a burglary in Springs on May 7.

Detective Lieutenant Chris Anderson said about $2,000 in cash and $600 in jewelry, as well as a number of prescription pills, were stolen from a house on Gardiner’s Avenue between 1 and 5:30 p.m. The thief entered through a back door, according to police, who have not yet made an arrest.

The missing items belong to Chris Foran, a hairdresser, and some of the money had been raised for Heaven Can Wait, which raises money to help breast cancer patients.

Anyone with information has been asked to call police at 537-7575.
