Kathleen I. White of Hampton Bays died at Southampton Hospital on May 19. She was 89.

Born on November 20, 1923, in North Bellmore, to Albert and Mary Shuster, she was a real estate broker for the White-O’Donnell Agency in Sag Harbor. During World War II, she worked as an aircraft riveter. She was a volunteer with the Altar Rosary Society at the Church of St. Rosalie, the church’s Catholic Daughters and Little Flower Children’s Services. She worked at one time for Dan’s Papers.

Predeceased by her husband, William J. White, she is survived by her children, Mary Petersen and her husband, Frank, of East Northport, James White and his wife, Cynthia, of Nevada, John White and his wife, Anne, of Hampton Bays and William White and his wife, Barbara, of Hampton Bays; and four grandchildren, Rachel E. White, Mary-Genevieve White, Brandon J. White and Zachary W. White. She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Shuster.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 24, at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery.
