Clancy Finishes College Career With High Accolades


Alyssa Clancy is graduating from SUNY College at Old Westbury in style.

She was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Division Pitcher of the Year, and earned First Team All-Star honors after putting together an impressive senior season. The Westhampton Beach High School graduate was also named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference in May.

Clancy finished the season with a 2.12 ERA and won 19 games for Old Westbury. She struck out 190 batters and only allowed 20 walks in 231.2 innings. She compiled eight shutouts and 33 complete games in 36 starts.

Clancy was among the nation’s best in walks allowed per seven innings (sixth), strikeouts (18th), shutouts (18) and victories (30). She finishes her career with a 68-44 record, recording 98 complete games, 31 shutouts, three saves, 691 strikeouts, 69 walks and a 2.15 ERA over 720.1 innings pitched. She started 112 of the 124 games she pitched during her four-year college career.
