The New York State Department of Financial Services mobile command center will be deployed to Flanders next week to assist local homeowners and businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The command center will be available on Wednesday, June 12, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the David Crohan Community Center at 655 Flanders Road in Flanders.
Department representatives will be available to help homeowners and business owners apply for recovery aid that was approved by the federal government last month, process applications and assist with insurance-related issues. Residents who have already applied for assistance will also be able to receive status updates regarding their applications.
