Enzo Magnozzi will have his paintings on exhibit this month at the Hampton Bays Public Library on Ponquogue Avenue. Mr. Magnozzi is a self-taught oil painter whose portraits are done in the classical realism style.

The American Legion Hand-Aldrich Post 924 in Hampton Bays will hold its Installation of Officers this Sunday, July 7, at 1 p.m., at the post on Ponquogue Avenue. In addition, Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst will be awarding proclamations to the following World War II veterans: James Papandrea, Walter Flaherty, Marilouise Kelly, Joseph Latch Sr., John Poulakis, Chet Sinclair, Bob Shearn, Anthony Galgano and Anthony Dagostino. Also, the late Ray Rand will be honored at the ceremony and a proclamation will be presented to his family.
The first in the popular “Sundays at 7” concert series will be held this Sunday, July 7—yup, at 7 p.m.!—in the backyard of St. Rosalie’s Church Parish Center on East Montauk Highway. The Darren Ottati Quartet (and a few special guests) will perform. Bring along your beach chair and some refreshments. A good-will offering is appreciated.

Anna Blydenburgh has achieved dean’s list honors for the spring semester at Emory & Henry College in Virginia. Matthew Derasmo was named on the president’s list at the SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. And John Marano, Monica O’Connor and Lawrence Robertson each made the dean’s list at SUNY at Oneonta.

Tuesday, July 9: Southampton Town Youth Bureau’s “Tuesdays on the Go” programs for kids in sixth through 10th grade. Transportation is provided from the Hampton Bays High School. Permission slips are required and you can print one out and see all the trips that are planned by logging on at www.southamptontownny.gov/youthbureau. This Tuesday, the group will be visiting Cousins Paintball and the cost for that is $40.
