More than 100 groups are expected to march in the annual Southampton Village Fourth of July parade on Thursday morning.
The parade, which is expected to last approximately two and a half hours, will kick off at 10 a.m. at the Long Island Rail Road station. Marchers will continue down Main Street to Agawam Park.
This year, the parade will be led by grand marshal Gene Dombrowski, a Vietnam War veteran and former head of the village parks department.
Immediately following the parade, the village will sponsor a free fair at the Southampton Center at 25 Jobs Lane. The fair will run till approximately 3 p.m., and will offer kid-friendly events to celebrate the holiday.
