Rollover Accident Injures Two In Flanders

Two people, the drivers of both vehicles, were transported to the hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries during the two-car collision, according to Flanders Fire Chief Todd Ryan, who responded to the scene.

Southampton Town Police said the driver of a red Chevrolet Tahoe was heading south on County Road 105 while the driver of the gold Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on County Road 104 at the time of the accident. There is a traffic light at the intersection.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY

Two vehicles collided near the intersection of County Road 105 and County Road 104 in Flanders at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, and one came to a rest on its passenger side due to the force of the impact.

At least one person suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to initial reports from the scene.

The accident appears to have involved a gold pickup truck and a red SUV. The pickup truck sustained heavy front-end damage while the SUV was the vehicle that came to a rest on its side.

Heavy rescue units were called to the scene.
