A Flanders man was sentenced to four years in prison on Friday after pleading guilty in April to sexually abusing two sisters under the age of 14 who were friends with his daughter, according to court records.

Albert Carini, 54, was indicted by a Suffolk County grand jury in August 2012 on charges of engaging in a course of sexual conduct with a child in the first and second degrees, both felonies, as well as sexual contact with a child under 14 years of age, a misdemeanor, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, also a misdemeanor.

Assistant District Attorney Dana Brown said on Monday that the crimes occurred in Mr. Carini’s home between 2009 and 2012.

Suffolk County Criminal Court Judge Barbara Kahn sentenced Mr. Carini, who will also be subject to 10 years of parole supervision after his release, as well as issuing orders of protection for the victims.

Southampton Town Police had arrested Mr. Carini on July 20, 2012.
