Eat And Run For Ellen Hermanson Foundation

This weekend the Ellen Hermanson Foundation is taking a one-two punch at breast cancer with an eat-and-run combination “Pink Apron Party” and “Ellen’s Run” fundraisers in Southampton.

On Saturday, August 17, starting at 7 p.m., 23 female celebrity chefs will be presenting their culinary concoctions for diners at a “Pink Apron Party.” The party will be held at the field on Wickapogue and Old Town roads across the street from Southampton Hospital. Proceeds will benefit East End breast cancer patients. Ticket prices range from $300 to $2,500, and $150 junior tickets are available for those under age 30.

On Sunday, August 18, the 18th annual Ellen’s Run 5k race will start at 9 a.m. sharp, beginning and ending at Southampton Hospital’s Parrish Hall. Registration, which is $30 for those who preregister and $40 on the day of the race, ends at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Celebrity “Iron Chef” Alexandra Guarnaschelli will serve as the “Pink Apron Party” chair and Food Network star and Daytime Emmy Award-winner Anne Burrell will serve as the host for the event. Renowned chefs Lynn Bound of MoMa, Jessica Craig of Nick & Toni’s, Claudia Fleming of North Fork Table & Inn, Tracy McHale of East Hampton Point and Cheryl Stair of Art of Eating will be cooking.
