Mighty Hamptons Triathlon Expected To Delay Traffic On Sunday Morning In And Around Sag Harbor


Drivers are being advised to avoid certain roads Sunday morning during the Mighty Hamptons Triathlon, which is expected to draw a large number of people.

The triathlon starts at Long Beach in Sag Harbor at 6 a.m., with the bike and running portion continuing in Sag Harbor, Noyac, North Sea, Water Mill, Bridgehampton and North Haven beteween 6:30 and 11 a.m., according to the Southampton Town Police Department.

The police anticipate especially heavy traffic delays on Noyac Road, Majors Path, Head of Pond Road, Scuttlehole Road, Brickkiln Road, Stoney Hill Road, Long Beach Road and Route 114.

Motorists who can’t avoid driving in these areas are being asked to exercise caution.
