Lee Milton Lehman of Stuart, Florida, died on August 29. He was 83.
Mr. Lehman was born to Faith Dunn and Jack Lehman on October 22, 1929, in Brooklyn. He was a longtime “snowbird,” traveling between Florida and Southampton until settling in Florida with his longtime girlfriend, Fran Kreitsek.
He was well known for his charming and charismatic style as he worked behind the bar of such places as The Post House back in the late 1960s and ’70s and The Coast Grill in the ’90s. Survivors said the way he created and presented a drink was more of an art form and earned him the title of “The World’s Greatest Bartender” back in the early ’90s.
He is survived by a son, David; a daughter, Melissa; a granddaughter, Julia; and three brothers, Gary, Walter and Louie. He also leaves behind many friends.
A memorial service will be held later in the fall.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart Chapel, in Florida. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.heavencalled.com.
