The Southampton Town Senior Services Department, along with the Dominican Sisters Family Health Service, will offer seniors the opportunity to get flu shots in two places locally this week.
Shots will be administered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Senior Center on Tuesday, October 1, and at the Hampton Bays Senior Center on Thursday, October 3.
Seniors who reside in the Town of Southampton can receive flu shots on a first-come, first-served basis at either location by taking along their Medicare or managed care cards. No appointment or reservation is necessary.
Those using a Medicare card will have the service billed directly to Medicare by the Dominican Sisters Family Health Service. Those using a managed care card are asked to bring a $35 check made out to DSFHS at the time of the shot. A receipt for the shot will be issued to submit to the senior’s insurance carrier for reimbursement.
