Tuckahoe School

October is Anti-Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month. The Student Council has planned a Spirit Week of activities in an effort to make Tuckahoe School bully free.

On Monday, students could wear hats for “Hats on to Bullying Prevention.” Tuesday was Mix It Up day. On Wednesday, pajamas were allowed for “Put Bullying to Bed.” Sports shirt or jerseys are the choice on Thursday for “Join the Bully Free Team.” And Friday, students will “Stand Together” and are asked to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness.

During October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the school is showing its support by wearing pink on Fridays throughout the month of October. Each Friday, the staff will hold a breakfast to raise funds for the Ellen Hermanson Breast Care Center at Southampton Hospital and every Thursday in October, school nurse Wendy Meyer has our students of all ages making rainbow loom pink bracelets that will be on sale during the last week of October to help raise funds for the Ellen Hermanson Breast Care Center at Southampton Hospital.

School picture retake day is Tuesday, October 29.

The PTO Pottery Night year is Friday, November 8.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 2; students will have early dismissal these two days at 11:23 a.m. The PTO Thanksgiving Feast will be held on Tuesday, November 26.
