Clara A. McMahon Of Massachusetts, Formerly Sag Harbor, Dies November 7


Clara A. McMahon of Framingham, Massachusetts, formerly of Sag Harbor, died on November 7 at St. Patrick’s Manor nursing facility in Framingham. She was 97.

Born in Lucas, Iowa on August 1, 1916, she was the daughter of Chester and Lona Belle (Dudley) Blakely. Besides Sag Harbor and Massachusetts, she had also lived in Texas, North Carolina and New Jersey.

Predeceased by her husband, John L. McMahon Jr., she is survived by four children, Carol Lord of Framingham, Janice McMahon of Italy, John McMahon of Australia and William McMahon of Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Denise McMahon, and by nine siblings.

Visitation was on November 11 at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. A funeral Mass took place on November 12 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
