Two-Car Accident On Napeague Stretch Sends Three To Hospital

A two-car accident on the Napeague Stretch on Monday morning sent three people to the hospital, according to East Hampton Town Police Detective Lieutenant Chris Anderson.

Two passengers in a 2012 Honda sedan were traveling eastbound when the car crossed over the center line and hit another driver in a 2012 Hino truck, just west of Old Montauk Highway. All three people were taken by Amagansett Fire Department Ambulance to Southampton Hospital, Det. Lt. Anderson said, with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was closed off on the stretch for approximately an hour and a half while crews were on the scene and cleared the road.

Det. Lt. Anderson said no charges will be filed.
