Students who achieved the title of scholar/athlete, earning honors or high honors in academics while participating in a sport were recognized at a special assembly on December 5. High honor scholar athletes were Nia Dawson, Tatyana Dawson, Harriet DeGroot, Jennah Hochstedler, Hayley Lund, Autumn Street and Laura Uribe; honor scholar athletes were Aziza Brunson, Autumn Coffey, Claudia Figueroa, India Hemby, Elizabeth Hochstedler, Paige Hoyt, Rachel Hoyt, Henry Kotz, Anajae Lamb, Sagari Negrete, Jada Pinkney, Tyler Stevens and Monserrat Udave.

Members of the Outdoor Club, along with teachers David Holmes, Annette Rivera, Tom House and Judiann Carmack, visited New York City’s Rockefeller Center last Sunday. Club members raised money to go on the trip by selling baked goods, and Outdoor Club member Jamari Gant documented the trip with photos.

The winter concert for grades six through 12 will take place on Thursday, December 12, at 7 p.m. and will include performances by the Marimba Ensemble, school band and chorus.

The Bridgehampton caroling group will perform at the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. The caroling group is scheduled to do its annual mini-tour with stops at the Bridgehampton Senior Center, bank and post office on Thursday, December 19.

The Compassion in Action Council is selling candygrams during the school lunch period in December. Proceeds will benefit those in need over the holidays. The CIA student council is also sponsoring a food drive. All donations of nonperishable food items may be dropped off in Ms. Sanchez’s classroom by December 20.
