The East Hampton Library will hold its 2015 budget vote on Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the library on Main Street in East Hampton Village.
Residents of the East Hampton, Springs and Wainscott school districts can cast their votes on three separate ballots for the proposed $2,216,421 budget, which represents an increase of $85,553 over last year’s budget.
The library’s tax rate for each school district reflects the assessed valuations of homes in each area. The overall tax levy for the East Hampton School District would be $80,450, $17,489 in the Springs School District, and $6,255 in the Wainscott School District.
The budget increase reflects upgrades to the library’s facilities, administration, personnel, programs and contracted services.
Copies of the budget breakdown are available at the library.
