The fall swim season got off to a great start for the Lady Bonackers last week as they picked up wins in a pair of non-league meets. East Hampton opened the season with a 98-82 victory at Sachem North on September 15 before beating Smithtown, 92-76, at the East Hampton YMCA on Friday, September 19.
The Lady Bonackers enjoyed what head coach Craig Brierley said was an “unexpected margin of victory” against Smithtown, thanks to several swimmers exceeding expectations in their individual events.

She was also part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team, finishing the 50-yard backstroke portion in a personal-best time of 30.10 seconds.
