Cablevision Hosts Seventh Annual ‘Hispanic Heritage Month’ Student Essay Contest


Cablevision’s Optimum Community and Olympusat, Inc. are again sponsoring the “Hispanic Heritage Month” essay contest, in recognition of the rich heritage of Hispanic Americans. The contest is open to students in grades six through twelve who also reside in a Cablevision-serviced area, including Suffolk County.

The contests requests that students write an essay, in which they name a Latino, past or present, with whom they would choose to spend a day and the reason why. All essays must be submitted in English, online through the Optimum community website at, emailed to or mailed to Cablevision at Attention Optimum Community, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage N.Y. Essays must not exceed 500 words and have a due date of November 1.
