Students in Mr. Meyers’ and Mr. Bramoff’s physical education classes received five days of instruction from Tom Hughes of Play Rugby USA, during which they learned about the history, rules and terminology of rugby.

October 19 to 26 is National Teen Driver Safety Week and a message has been posted on the marquee in front of the school reminding everybody to wear their seat belts even if they are in the back seat. Mr. Meyers’ health class will be handing out fact sheets about seat belts and ID/key chains with the saying “Click-It: Front and Back”.

Senior Jada Pinckney led the after-school ASPIRE program in making birthday cards for homeless children around the globe for a program called “Do Something.” To learn more visit:

On Thursday, October 23, chorus, band, marimba and drama students in grades four through 12 went to see “Aladdin” at New Amsterdam Theatre in Manhattan.

The Halloween parade for students in pre-K to fifth grade will be on Friday, October 31, on Main Street from 12:15 to 1 p.m. A costume contest will be held following the parade.
