East Hampton Group For Wildlife Holds Anti-Hunting Protest

The East Hampton Group for Wildlife held an anti-hunting rally in front of East Hampton Town Hall on Saturday. Animal advocates spoke out against weekend deer hunting in East Hampton in January as per new state regulations.

“Weekend hunting would be horrible for deer and interfere with hiking and everyone’s right to enjoy the peacefulness of nature in winter,” said Bill Crain, president of the Group for Wildlife.”Bow hunting is cruelest form of hunting because it so often merely wounds deer, leaving them to die slow, painful deaths in the woods.” KYRIL BROMLEY
