Hampton Bays PAL Football Team Wins Championship

The Hampton Bays PAL 10U youth football team put the finishing touch on an impressive season on Sunday, beating Sayville, 32-13, to win the championship with a flawless 10-0 record.

It marked the first undefeated season and first championship for Hampton Bays PAL football, according to head coach Darryl Johnson.

The team included 21 10-year-olds and six 9-year-olds from the community.

The Baymen offense scored a division-leading 206 points, averaging 20.6 points per game, while giving up just 93 points, an average of 9.3 per game.

Hampton Bays finished the regular season at 7-0, and earned the third seed in the playoffs. They opened the postseason with a 27-13 win over Connetquot on October 26 in Hampton Bays, and then beat Wyandanch, 6-0, on November 2 at Westhampton Beach High School, advancing to the championship. They beat Sayville on the road for the ultimate prize.

The team includes: Joe Bocchi, Demetriis Brunskill, Francisco Canales, Nicholas Castaldo, James Clinton, Cody Davies, Cameron DePetris, Raphael Dominguez, Patrick Donahue, Braedan Dorchak, Diego Escalon, Joseph Fava, Evan Hacker, Ryan Hughes, Kazmin Pensa-Johnson, Timothy Kraycar, Christopher Martinez, Timothy McCarthy, Robert Mc Namara, Rodrigo Quintanilla, Santiago Rico, Jhon Salazar, Chris Sanchez, Jonathan Sapio, Dylan Schultheis, Cooper Shay, Stephen Sutton, and coaches Darryl K. Johnson, Bobby Sutton, Dave Dorchak, Christopher Schultheis, Marc Bocchi, team general manager Kathleen Sutton, and the Hampton Bays PAL football representative, Erick Kozofsky.
